Smile: Inside Out

Are you really enjoying this holiday season?  Is your smiling face a reflection of your heart or a picture that you posted for the day like your facebook profile?  What if I told you that you can smile from the inside out every day regardless of what season you find yourself in?  Would you believe me?  Would you respond to this message?  Would you send it to your friends all over the world?  Most importantly, would you internalize the solution and live it out?  For those of you who took the time to read this and say yes, this message is for you:

First things first you have to believe that the Word of God is the final authority.  You really have to be willing to conduct an honest self assessment to locate where you are and last you have to be willing to change for the better by changing the way you think.

Proverbs 4:23 KJV Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life

Recognize that your current visible life comes from how and what you think in your heart.  I’m speaking of your inward self not your cardio muscle.  That word heart in Hebrew means: inner man, mind, will, heart, understanding.

The object of this message is to inform you that your perception of life comes from your heart’s position concerning a matter.  That’s why it’s important to have your heart in the right place.  Jesus said, “You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world.” Matt 5:8 MSG He is the Truth, He’s right.  Once you take your inner self to God and place His Word in it you will undergo a transformation inside.  A change of position will occur.  Imagine going to the video music awards and seeing it from behind the stage.  Imagine what you would say to others about the show.  Think of how much you would get out of that same show and how much better your reviews would be if you were in front of it, in a different position.  Now apply that to the position of your inward man towards life.  When you change the way you think by presenting your heart life with new information from God’s Word you reposition yourself to see things from God’s perspective.  You will be able to see life as you being ahead and not behind.  That transformation inside will position your inward self in such a way that you can see all the wonderful things God is doing in your life and in the lives of others.  This will give you a smile from the inside that the world or life’s situations can’t frown.

So remember not only for this holiday season but everyday of your life that everything around you: what you observe and how you see things is a reflection of your own heart.

Proverbs 4:23 MSG Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts.
